Yellowstone was America’s first National Park and my 100th.
I have long found Yellowstone fascinating. It sounds like a mythical place. It’s a land where steam shoots out of the ground with great force and pools of water are multicolored and glimmering and pits of mud pop and splash as they boil. Oh, and there’s a beautiful canyon with majestic waterfalls. Oh and abundant wildlife too – elk, bison, wolves, bear, deer. Yellowstone really has it all!
Deciding what to see was difficult so I decided to see as much as I could and hopefully go back for more one day. I used to put a lot of pressure on myself during trips. I tried to see everything there was to see in case I never made it back to that particular place. Now I try to think of each trip as a scouting trip. See as much as I can, but I’m just gathering information and deciding what I want to explore on my next trip. And what a beautiful place to scout!
