I can’t believe that I’ve been here for nearly a month. It has gone so fast!
I will say the quality of life this time around has been much better now that I’ve stepped down from being a manager. Life isn’t all about dollars and climbing the corporate ladder. Well, it’s not about that to me anyway. I haven’t always made the right choices in this area, but I did this time. For sure.
Since getting here I have managed to read a book and a watch an entire season of a television show- each week. That’s right, 3 books and 3 seasons down so far! I love it! Plus I’ve made a lot of changes to the video product they are putting out here. Just this week people started commenting on it. One guy told me, “It actually looks like you care about what you are doing.” Good. That was the goal. At least LOOK like I care. Just kidding. I do care and I’m happy that the product is reflecting it.
I’m having fun, but I’m itching to start having some adventures. I need to get on some tours and see these islands soon so you all can hear about more than just the thoughts rolling around in my empty head.
