Not a lot happening.

I only have one more trip to Bermuda left. That’s hard to believe. Aside from the two months I was home, I have spent every other week either in Bermuda or traveling to/from Bermuda. Now I have one more cruise there and I may never see it again, who knows.

On one of my first trips to Bermuda, perhaps my first trip, which also happened to be my first cruise, I heard about the caves in Bermuda. There are two specifically that you can go tour- they are called the Crystal and Fantasy Caves. They looked gorgeous on the brochures, but fear of navigating the transportation system alone and not knowing where the caves were and how long it would take to find them kept me from venturing out there. Since then, on one of my many forays around the islands I passed the caves. When I realized that this was one of my last trips here and I had never taken the time to see the caves, I decided that I had to make it happen. So, I bought the transportation pass, hopped on a ferry, found the bus station, found the right bus, and got dropped off at the caves.

Judging by the brochures I had expected the caves to be nice, but they far surpassed my expectations. The first cave was discovered by too little boys who lost their cricket ball down a sink hole. They slid down a rope and spent the next two hours swimming in the ocean water at the bottom of the caves. They discovered some of God’s beautiful craftsmanship, but they never did find their cricket ball.

The Crystal Cave has a floating walkway throughout much of the cave allowing for spectacular views of the stalagmite and stalactite along with all of the other beautiful cave formations. The Fantasy Cave is called such because the formations in this space make it look like a strange and fantastical world. The formations here are more of an orangish color due to the iron in the soil.

Not a whole lot to report this time around. I’m off on my last Canada and New England cruise now. I’m so sad this is my last trip up north. I guess the good thing is that I live close enough to those ports that I can visit whenever I desire. It is so amazing up there. Hopefully I’ll have lots of adventures to tell you about in the next post. Much love to you all!
