Hi Travelers!
After a long (too long) break, I’m back! I haven’t stopped traveling. I haven’t stopped writing. Sadly I just let this blog wither away as I focused more on creating content for Instagram, Facebook, and recently YouTube.
But my biggest project has been working on my second book “Sea More: Alaska.”
Sea More: Alaska
This book has been a labor of love (emphasis on labor) for the past couple of years. Technically I suppose this project started with my first season in Alaska in 2019 when I built a spreadsheet for each port complete with activities and restaurants I was trying.
Now, after 4 seasons in Alaska, I’ve compiled my reviews and must-know tips into a book.
The Destinations
“Sea More: Alaska” covers Southeast Alaska’s most well-known cruise ports such as:
- Juneau
- Sitka
- Skagway
- Ketchikan
- Icy Strait Point
Each section includes information on where the cruise ships dock, public transportation, top attractions, and where to eat.
Chapters end with a “Perfect Day” sample itinerary that reveals how I would spend a day in each location
The Glaciers
The main attraction of an Alaskan cruise for most people are glaciers. Nearly every Alaskan cruise includes some time spent sailing in Alaskan wilderness to give guests a glimpse of these frozen wonders of nature.
“Sea More: Alaska” includes information on:
- Glacier Bay National Park
- Hubbard Glacier
- Tracy Arm Fjord
- College Fjord
The chapter explains how a visit to each area will work and where you need to be to see the glaciers.
Other Information
In addition to WHERE Alaskan cruises go, I also detail what to pack, when to cruise, and more.
